Diffusion or Purity of Oneness

macro drop artist unknown

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about diffused reflections;
a means through which we perceive the world around us.
Whether through our own naked eyes,
or through the alteration of technology…
Each gives us an entirely unique perspective on what we perceive.

Yet, whatever means we choose
be it of diffusion or the purity of the world itself,
let us appreciate the beauty of life
acknowledge and honor our differences.

For we consist of a rainbow of many colors
that makes up a light of One.

I Want to Fly

Can Anyone Hear Me by Wildfire2003

I’m in sight
Laying low and quiet
As he throws his words like daggers in the night.
Standing still
Afraid to take a stand
Bruising all my flesh and bones with his upper hand.

I want to fly
Frozen in the corner of my mind.
I want to fly
Mend my broken wings to feel alive.

He holds my hand, twisting all my dreams
I crumble to the pavement, melt into the seams
He said his love was bigger than the sky
Clouds were part of living and the sun will never shine.

I want to fly
Frozen in the corner of my mind.
I want to fly
Mend my broken wings to feel alive.

Oh Lord, give me strength to flee him
I’m so tired trying hard to please him.
I want to fly…
Every time he says that he loves me
I lay shattered on the ground, left bleeding
I want to fly…

Under his spell, I know that he can tell
Every move I fall, condemned within his hell.
I close my eyes, he cuts another slice
Pounding down the pieces of my life.

I want to fly
I want to fly…
