Returning to the Sea

Return to the sea photo

Tell me again of our mysterious flee
When the amber in sunrise
Rippled softly at sea.

When the sweetness of lilac filled our lungs in each breath
My soft flowing hair
Gently covered your chest.

When the unseen connected, penetrating our souls
The touch of our hands
Feeling heaven unfold.

Tell me again how we walk in veiled steps
When I bowed to the earth
Felt the dew on your lips.

When you held my face softly looking into my eyes
When the winds blew in silence
Contemplating surmise.

How the end and beginning came together by name
As we returned our last tear
From which it once came.
